Alpago Tri: over 650 athletes at the start on Sunday 20 July at Santa Croce Lake

A Sunday of sport, passion and inclusion on 20 July at Lake Santa Croce (Alpago, Belluno), where one of the most eagerly awaited stages of the summer for triathlon enthusiasts will be staged: the Alpago Tri Sprint Silca Cup and the Alpago Aquathlon Kids.
The event, organised in one of Veneto's most naturalistic settings, will see the participation of over 650 athletes: 570 Age Group athletes for the Sprint race (750m swim, 10Km bike, 5Km run) and 100 triathletes from the youth categories in the Aquathlon. A confirmation of the success of this event, which after the stages in Caorle in May and Revine Lago at the end of June, presents itself as a new and unmissable appointment for triathletes.
Testifying to the success of the race is the presence of over 20 sports clubs with at least 10 athletes each registered: numbers that consolidate Alpago as a meeting place for the triathlon movement in Veneto and beyond.
Among the participants of the Alpago Tri Sprint Silca Cup, stand out names and stories that tell of the ageless soul of this sport: from Rüya Coşkun, a young promise in the Junior category who arrives from Turkey, to Gherardo Mercati, an Italian triathlete born in 1938 (category M10), just back from his category gold medal at the World Triathlon Championship Finals in Abu Dhabi. It will therefore be an event that will unite young international talents and experienced triathletes, united by the same passion for the triple discipline, on a single day.
Serena Banzato, paratriathlete, an example of strength and determination, will also be present at the Sprint race. Her story is one of the most beautiful on the Italian sports scene and will be an inspiration to all those present.
Once again this year, therefore, the Alpago is preparing to welcome athletes, families and fans for a day of sport and sharing by the lake, amidst smiles, challenges and team spirit.

The event is organised by Silca Ultralite Vittorio Veneto, in collaboration with Maratona di Treviso scrl and sponsored by the municipality of Alpago.
