Silca Ultralite Triathlon was founded in 1991 as a corporate sports club of Silca S.p.A.
From the first season athletes with relevant competitive results are encouraging the Silca Team evolution that becomes a Corporate Club to an Amateur Competitive Sport Team in 1996. Silca Ultralite Team has explored every Triathlon discipline variant both through its athletes and through the events it organises: Triathlons, Aquathlons, Duathlons, Cross Triathlons, Winter Triathlons are the challenges it faces with organisational success and oustnding results.
The Team has been transformed from a Corporate Club to an Amateur Competitive Sports Team in 1996.
In the early years, Silca Ultralite Triathlon won 12 consecutive National Titles and took two athletes to compete in the Olympics.
In 2011, the club reinvented itself with a new mission, that of operating in Triathlon but focusing on scouting and the growth of new young talent. Even with the very young athletes, it starts again to challenge and conquer prestigious podiums and continues to organise Triathlon events and races at national and international level.

Team Palmares
The Triathlon is one of the toughest and most challenging sports due to its comprehensive nature of the different disciplines involved. Swimming, cycling and running tackled in succession, without interruption, require physical commitment and psychological concentration, which are not encountered in other sports. Introducing budding athletes to three different sports proved to be a somewhat challenging goal for the sports club from the outset. None of the organisational and logistical constraints encountered, however, ever deterred Silca Ultralite Triathlon, which has continued its activities without ever failing in its investment in the important values that this discipline tests.
Today, Silca Ultralite Triathlon accompanies athletes from the beginning (6 years old) to the Juniores category, sharing alongside them the many battles, emotions and disappointments that are a fundamental element in the human and sporting growth of young athletes.
